Beat Street Records was established in 1996 by cofounders Avi Shack & Wes Kuitenbrouwer.  Originally a Skateboard/Clothing/Lifestyle store, Beat Street quickly evolved into a record store.  A record mecca for DJs in the 90s/2000s, Beat Street moved locations 4 times, landing in the current location on Hastings Street in 2004.   Beatstreet.ca went online in 2002, and has undergone 4 major changes, the most recent in March 2012.

Beat Street carries all sorts of vinyl records- 12", LP, 7" - New and Used - All styles.  We have approx 50,000 records in stock in our store, and more in our back room warehouse.  Beat Street also carries all sorts of urban lifestyle items- Shirts, Hats, Books, Magazines, Graffiti Art Supplies, DJ Equipment, Toys and Collectibles and more.

Beat Street is located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, on Hastings Street between Richards and Homer.  We are 1 block from Harbour Center, and just down the street from the Waterfront Sky Train Station.  Gastown is just down the street.  Meter parking is available on Homer Street and Richards Street.
