1989's Up To Here is the debut full-length recording from the Tragically Hip following the release of their 1987 self-titled EP. Recorded with Don Smith and Bruce Barris at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee the promising 11-song set is awash in driving rhythms, effective riffs, subtle soloing and the heartfelt vocals and poetics of singer Gordon Downie. Standout tracks on Up In Here include "Boots Or Hearts," "38 Years Old" and "Blow At High Dough" which became the theme song to the CBC comedy-drama Made in Canada.
