Nujabes - Modal Soul Cassette

"Following 'metaphorical music', this is the second chapter of Nujabes’ metaphorical music—soundscapes that evoke inner landscapes. 'I hope that anyone who listens to it can feel even a little happier.' The sentence above was written by Nujabes himself as the introductory text when the album 'Modal Soul' was originally released. Kept deliberately simple, it reflects his intention to let the music speak for itself—choosing not to explain the individual tracks, and instead to pour his wish directly into his own album comment. A second album that distills Nujabes’ musical philosophy—expressed through his sonic world." - Hydeout Productions
