The Streets - A Grand Don't Come For Free 2LP

$54.99
English rapper/producer Mike Skinner aka The Streets burst onto the U.K. music scene at large in 2002 with his fresh and fearless debut album Original Pirate Material. Showcasing Skinner's part street poet and part punk suburban everyman duality, it led to both voice of his generation and best album of the decade laudits and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. A Grand Don't Come For Free emerged two years later and The Streets had already become an international phenomenon. This time around, Skinner constructed an album with an on-going narrative that was by turns hilarious, touching and energizing. "Dry Your Eyes" became The Streets' first No. 1 single, while "Fit But You Know It" and "Blinded By The Lights" both hit the Top 10. Long out of print, The Streets' first two albums are both being reissued on double vinyl in 2018.
